What is a frontier if not a place of union and exchange?

We often think that frontiers are made to place limits to a territory, spaces or cultures. But it’s true that even the highest frontier has holes to pass between both sites.

Doors, with all types that can exist, are a symbol of union and communication between two different places.

#Laundry

Communication and sharing are both inevitable and necessary, both areas need each other to have a sense, why do we need water if we do not have the stone to dry?

The exchange of goods is a reality in today's society and in a globalized world, where each country sells its goods to get their shortcomings (idyllic situation).

#Horizon 

Mysterious is this border that gets away, at times close and at times further. If you follow her, she goes away, and even makes in love who is observing her. Frontier that says what is earthly and what is heavenly. We tried to fly but we couldn’t get her. Always further than the furtest element, is object of representation for many artist.  

#Stop

Stop, four powerful letters, a straight order. We don’t doubt to end our movement when we find this signal, and we are afraid to pass through this limit that forced us to stop. But nothing would unable us to change our sight: not a powerful STOP and even the highest and widest wall: Berlin’s wall couldn’t do that, the wall between Mexico and USA or the gates of Ceuta and Melilla and even the fences of Gaza, are some examples that walls aren’t made to protect a frontier, although they made this place a sight where, dead and suffer are too frequent between the two sights.

#Forest

Nothing clearer than the entrance to a forest makes us see that frontiers are and unreal invention of the human being. Where does a forest begin? At the first tree, at the first bush, or any of them? Forests, like cultures, don’t have real frontiers, but some people need to delimitate their territory, like dogs do. With the difference that if we don’t do this with unfinishing wars, we do it with a ruler on the map, dividing towns and cultures, and confronting them with each other.

#Weeds

What is going on with people that we are closing to our technology and knowledge? It seems that we have forgotten that nature is much wiser than us, but even knowing it, people keep expropriating the land to our mother nature and we use it for our experiments to, at the end, imitate what nature already does. We need to remember that if we keep separating from nature, we will end both existences.

#Yesterday / Today

People need to change what they have. Always unpleased, people have destroyed the past to remake the future, it’s useless for the present what we’ve made yesterday, and if we keep caught to yesterday we won’t belong to the present, we would be in a different world drawn by the temporal frontier, very difficult to understand and different for every human. But, even with this sharp and dangerous frontier, people from the present need to look at the past, so they can learn how to make the future. This may be the richest trading frontier, and where human been can learn more if it knows how to use it.
